About Michael
An English teacher who listens before he plans.
Michael is an English teacher, conversation partner, and learning coach. His work is built around careful attention to what each learner can do and what would help next.
The role
Good teaching makes the next step easier to see.
Some learners know plenty of vocabulary and grammar but still feel less capable when it is time to communicate. Others need a clearer path through reading, writing, evidence, or academic discussion.
Michael creates lessons where learners can try something real, receive useful feedback, and try again. The goal is not to perform a perfect answer. It is to understand what changed and carry that improvement into the next situation.
That approach works across conversation coaching, workplace English, school-age tutoring, and academic development because the starting point is always the learner.
Experience with purpose
A human approach, supported by real teaching experience.
Teaching foundation
Michael holds a Level 5 TEFL Diploma and a Teaching Business English qualification.
Different learners, different needs
His experience includes independent conversation coaching, Cosmo ELA tutoring, and adult English teaching with Golden Apple.
A wider perspective
Professional leadership, business experience, and international, cross-cultural work help connect English practice to the situations learners actually face.
What matters most
A learner should leave each lesson able to recognize one thing they can now do better.
The trial lesson
Discovery plus useful learning.
A trial is not an audition and not primarily a sales call. It is a chance to understand your starting point and work on one meaningful area.
Before
Tell Michael what you want to improve.
During
Try a realistic speaking, reading, writing, or communication task.
Together
Identify what is working and one useful area for improvement.
Practice
Work on that area, receive feedback, and try again.
After
Discuss what continued learning could look like.
